Available: Nature's Edge is an aqueous fluid that breaks down and encapsulates hydrocarbons on contact, inhibiting the hydrocarbons from coagulating or adhereing to surfaces such as the shoreline or wildlife.  The product also contains oil-digesting microbes which are deposited during application, biologically eliminating hydrocarbon residuals in water and soils.

PRODUCT PROFILE                                                  

Nature’s Edge Spill Response is a concentrated aqueous fluid with oil-digesting microbes developed to reduce safety concerns and environmental impact from unintended hydrocarbon spills/releases on land or sea. Unlike dispersants and typical surfactants, Nature’s Edge Spill Response emulsifies and encapsulates hydrocarbon liquids, inhibiting release of vapors/ VOC’s on contact. On water, oil sheens are immediately eliminated and oils do not coagulate or re-adhere to surfaces, inhibiting build-up on surrounding vegetation or “balling-up” and sinking to the bottom. On hard surfaces such as concrete, fuels and oils are no longer slippery. On beaches and marshes, the encapsulated hydrocarbons will not adhere to surfaces as such rocks, grass, trees and birds, making clean-up safe, fast and minimizing injury to wildlife.

Select microbes, added during manufacture, become permanently attached to the emulsified/encapsulated hydrocarbons during clean-up. Microbes travel with the water and hydrocarbons into the surrounding environment, transforming harmful contaminants into harmless by-products, primarily carbon dioxide and water. Further contamination is averted and normal appearance and growth of natural vegetation is naturally and quickly restored.

Nature’s Edge Spill Response meets or exceeds U.S. EPA standards for listing on the NCP Schedule as a surface washing agent and requirements of SCAQMD for use in California. As a non-toxic solution, Nature’s Edge Spill Response easily passed the LC-50 toxicity test, Europe’s HOCNF tests. It is safe to transport and handle, as it contains no butyls or caustics. It is non-irritating to normal skin and lungs, making it excellent for cleaning oil soaked birds and marine animals.

Nature’s Edge Spill Response is effective for cleaning and biologically eliminating diesel/jet fuel, gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, organic lubricants/grease and benzene (BTEX). Microbes used are all natural, aerobic and non-pathogenic. While normally added during manufacture, it is also available without microbes, or, microbial powder can be added in the field prior to application. Concentrate has a 2 year shelf life.
